Ubud Market Tour and Culinary Experience
Embark on a culinary adventure to unlock the secrets of authentic Balinese cooking using traditional ingredients and methods. Your day begins early at a bustling market in Ubud, where locals shop daily. Pick up fresh herbs, spices, vegetables and select cuts of meat. You'll be introduced to unique ingredients, including exotic items like snake fruit. Before returning to the kitchen, enjoy a guided ‘padi’ expedition through the rice paddies. Learn about the process of sowing, growing and harvesting rice as you discover its vital role in Balinese daily life. Back in the village kitchen, you'll use your market finds to prepare delicious Balinese dishes, experiencing the rich flavours and culinary traditions of the island.

Please note: Participants must be able to embark and disembark cruise ships and coaches without assistance as well as have a good level of mobility for walking tours in destinations where stairs and traditional cobblestone streets can be challenging. This morning, join your guide on a full-day tour of Korea’s exciting capital city. Witness the changing of the guard ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace. Visit Insadong Antique Alley and Jogyesa Temple. Travel by cable car to Seoul tower on Mt. Namsan. Experience Gwangjang Market and taste some of its popular street foods. (B/L)

Meet your guide this morning with your passport and drive to Paju City to visit the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Upon arrival at Imjingak Park, take an official shuttle bus to the DMZ area. Highlights there will include the Conference Room, Exhibition Hall, Dora Observatory, Dorasan Station, Third Tunnel, Bridge of Freedom and Unification Village. After your fascinating visit, return to Seoul to explore the Hongik University area this evening. (B/L)

This morning, fly to Ubud where you’ll receive a traditional Balinese greeting before transferring to your hotel. (B)

Spend the day at leisure exploring or relaxing. (B)

Enjoy a half-day experience of authentic Balinese village life that begins with a visit to Gunung Kawi, an ancient temple complex in the lush river valley. (B)

Today you’ll embark on a culinary adventure to unlock the secrets of authentic Balinese cuisine. Experience cooking with traditional ingredients and preparation methods, in a fully equipped, local community village kitchen. (B/L)
Day 9
Ubud
Explore the epicentre of all things related to arts and crafts in Bali. Head into the hilly region to visit the Neka Museum, offering one of the most comprehensive collections of traditional and modern Balinese paintings. Wander through its halls to admire numerous priceless paintings of Indonesian and foreign masters. Conclude today's trip with dinner featuring traditional Balinese dancing. (B/D)

Ubud
Today, meet your guide for a full-day tour to visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple perched on a rock overlooking the Indian Ocean. Explore the island’s remote villages, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant surrounded by rice paddies. Embark on a leisurely stroll along a small pathway that winds its way past a river, rice paddy fields and a cacao plantation. Here you’ll take in breathtaking views of Bali's most remarkable rice terraces. Continue walking over bridges and through forests to a unique temple before returning to the hotel. (B/L)

Immerse yourself in the genuine warmth of Balinese hospitality at an organic farm. Nestled amid the serene landscape, you'll engage in hands-on learning and witness the cold pressing of coconut oil as you learn its significance as a thriving venture for the local industry. Conclude with a local culinary lunch experience. (B/L)

Sideman
Today, take a scenic road to East Bali to experience village life in Sideman. A short hike connects the temple at the outer border of the village to its centre. You’ll be thrilled by the magnificent views surrounding rice terraces. Experience first-hand how a typical Balinese family lives and observe how the traditional rules for building a house compound are defined by a set of philosophical rules, steeped in Balinese Hinduism. After lunch, walk through the village and learn more about traditional house architecture. Continue onwards to your next resort with the rest of your evening at leisure. (B/L)

Sideman
Bali is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, particularly the iconic terraced rice fields. Nature enthusiasts can choose a guided hike along intricately sculpted rice terraces, with majestic Mount Agung in the background. Along the way, learn about rice cultivation, farming techniques and how to identify various native plants before crossing a bamboo bridge to see where the village's irrigation system flows beneath. Sanur
Admire the unforgettable combination of mountains and sea views on your way to visit the renowned Besakih Temple, built against the southern slope of Mount Agung, the highest peak in Bali. Savour lunch at a local restaurant with a magnificent view of Mount Batur. Your final stop today is Tukad Cepung Waterfall, located inside a jungle cave. On a sunny day, the sun’s rays beam straight through the top of the falls creating beautiful patterns of light across the canyon. (B/L)
