Taste of Málaga Tapas Tour
Get a true taste of southern Spain on a guided culinary adventure through Málaga’s vibrant food scene. Activity Level: Moderate. Settle into the sun-soaked charm of Spain’s Costa Del Sol on a 23-day extended stay filled with culture, cuisine and relaxed Mediterranean living.
Day 1
Depart on your overnight flight to Málaga.
Day 2
Benalmádena – Upon arrival at the Málaga airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and driver who will accompany you to your accommodations in Benalmádena. Spend the rest of the day at leisure as you settle in and get acquainted with your home base for the next three weeks.
Day 3
Benalmádena – Start your day with a guided tour of Málaga, followed by a welcome lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Picasso Museum’s permanent exhibition for an amazing tour of the life and work of this iconic artist. (B/L)
Day 4
Gibraltar – Venture out with your guide and driver for a full day tour of Gibraltar, a fascinating blend of British and Mediterranean influences. Visit Europa Point, explore the dramatic St. Michael’s Caves and look for the famous macaques monkeys at Apes Den. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Please remember to carry your passport/ID for this excursion. (B/L)
Day 5
Benalmádena – Today, you’ll experience a truly unique Spanish culinary adventure as you explore Málaga’s irresistible tapas scene. This 4-hour guided tasting tour offers a delicious introduction to the region’s different diverse flavours, so don’t forget to bring your appetite. Remainder of the day is at leisure. (B/S)
Day 6
Benalmádena – Today is yours to explore on your own. In the evening, get together for a casual group cocktail reception at the hotel where you can get to know your fellow travellers. (B/S)
Day 7 - 22
Benalmádena – These days are for you to enjoy on your own. Relax, explore the area and dive deeper into the local culture. (B)
Day 23
Meet your guide at the hotel for your transfer to the airport for your return flight back to Toronto or Winnipeg. (B)
