London Christmas Delights
Spend 8 days immersing yourself in the history, architecture, and culture of iconic London during Christmastime.
Day 1
Depart from Toronto or Winnipeg on your overnight flight to London.
Day 2
London – Arrive at London Heathrow airport and meet your guide. Transfer to the hotel for check-in and lunch at a café. Relax before your welcome dinner. (L/D)
Day 3
London – After breakfast, go on a panoramic tour of London's iconic landmarks. Stop at Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square to visit the Christmas markets, This evening, enjoy a full Christmas-themed dinner at a local restaurant. (B/D)
Day 4
London – Visit the Tower of London for an audio tour. Stroll to Leadenhall Market known for being Diagon Alley in Harry Potter, and admire the details. Delight in your Extraordinary Experience on the vintage Routemaster Double-Decker Bus London Christmas Lights tour. (B)
Day 5
London – Explore Windsor Castle uncovering centuries of history before heading to the Windsor Christmas Market. Return to London and enjoy the evening at leisure. (B)
Day 6
London – Visit the Covent Gardens Christmas market and their 55 ft tree. Have a festive high tea before taking in the view from the London Eye. This evening attend a West End production. (B/S)
Day 7
London – Cruise by iconic London landmarks on the Thames. Disembark at Greenwich to visit your final Christmas Market and view the Cutty Sark. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner. (B/D)
Day 8
Transfer to London Heathrow airport for your return flight to Toronto or Winnipeg. (B)

Extraordinary Explorations vacations are organized and booked by CAA Travel (South Central Ontario) Inc. and CAA Manitoba (“CAA Travel”) on behalf of CAA Club Group (o/a CAA South Central Ontario and CAA Manitoba). In the event of an increase in any of the cost factors, CAA Travel reserves the right to increase the price whereby the provisions of the Travel Industry Act shall prevail. Deposit is non-refundable at the time of booking. Final payment is due 120 days before departure. London
After a leisurely breakfast set out on a half-day panoramic tour of London city seeing the most iconic sites like Buckingham Palace, Green Park, Marble Arch, Piccadilly Circus, West End, Houses of Parliament, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Westminster Abbey, London Bridge and Tower Bridge with photo stops along the way. Stop at Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square to visit the Christmas markets with time to browse and have some lunch on your own. Delight in a full Christmas-themed dinner in the evening at a local restaurant. (B/D)

London
Today visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Tower of London for a self-paced audio-guided tour through one of Britain’s most storied landmarks. The experience blends atmospheric narration with some Christmas themed decorations, historical storytelling and guidance through a thousand years of royal power, intrigue and imprisonment. A short walk takes you to Leadenhall Market, established in 1321 in the centre of Roman Londinium. Originally a meat and food market it has survived many changes, rebuilds and even the Great Fire of London to become a popular shopping destination and a spectacular Victorian setting. Take time to admire the preserved buildings, cobbles and arched roof supported by elaborate stone pediments carved with dragons and shields. Harry Potter fans may recognize it as Diagon Alley and the Leaky Cauldron. Browse, shop, and lunch at your leisure. Another short walk takes you to St. Paul’s Cathedral where you can observe the Evensong choir service (subject to schedule). Sit back and appreciate the incredible acoustics and atmosphere. St. Paul’s is London’s most impressive and recognizable English Baroque style Anglican cathedral opened in 1708 and designed by architects Christopher Wren and Robert Hooke. Your touring day wraps up with your Extraordinary Experience, a vintage Routemaster Double-Decker Bus London Christmas Lights tour. View the world-renowned London Christmas Lights from the open-air upper deck or, in case of cold temperatures, the warmer closed-top Routemaster. London
Today go on an excursion to Windsor for a tour of Windsor Castle, home of the British Royal Family. Explore more than 900 years of royal history at your own pace with a multimedia guide, including the State Apartments and the magnificent St. George’s Chapel. There will be free time to explore the Windsor Christmas Market and pick up some tasty treats for your lunch or relax in a cozy pub. After returning to London, the remainder of the day is at leisure. London
Visit Covent Garden this morning, one of London’s most popular market areas, which will be dressed in her holiday finest. Home to their iconic 55ft Christmas tree, giant bells and baubles within the market building and canopies of lights surrounding the Seven Dials’ Monument, you’ll feel the magic of season. After free time to shop and explore walk to a nearby café for a festive afternoon tea with savoury and sweet treats as a light lunch. Continue your walk to the London Eye on the banks of the Thames, where you can take in the birds’ eye view from your private pod. After some time to relax and have dinner at leisure before attending a West End theatre production this evening. (B/S)

London
Today is free to experience Prague independently. This evening, gather with your fellow travellers for a A Thames River sightseeing cruise is a relaxing way to see this historic river and uninterrupted views of the city’s most famous landmarks from the water. You’ll glide past Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and The Shard, a modern addition to the skyline. At Greenwich you’ll see the Cutty Sark, launched in 1869 and the fastest clipper ship of its time and visit the Greenwich Market to browse and pick up lunch on your own. Maritime Greenwich is also famous as being home to the Prime Meridian, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. The river cruise takes you back to the starting point and you will return by coach to your hotel for some rest. This evening, gather for your farewell dinner. (B/D)
