Private Evening Jewel House Experience
Step into the shadows of history on an exclusive after-hours tour of the Tower of London, ending with a private viewing of the Crown Jewels. As twilight falls, a Yeoman Warder — one of the Tower’s iconic Beefeaters — will guide you through centuries of royal intrigue, rebellion and ceremony. Walk through the historic Traitors’ Gate, wander the same cobbled paths once travelled by queens and prisoners and take in the sparkle of the Crown Jewels during your private viewing. Activity Level: Moderate. Two iconic cities, one unforgettable trip. Explore London’s royal landmarks and Paris’s timeless beauty on an 11-day tour filled with history and art.
Day 1
Depart on your overnight flight to London.
Day 2
London – Arrive in London and meet your local guide for a panoramic city tour featuring Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. Enjoy a welcome lunch before checking in to your hotel and relaxing for the evening. (L)
Day 3
London – Join your guide for a morning tour of Westminster’s historic heart. See the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and Westminster Abbey, then witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. The afternoon is yours to explore or unwind. (B/D)
Day 4
London – Travel to Windsor Castle for a guided visit of its State Apartments and St George’s Chapel. After lunch, enjoy leisure time before a group dinner and your unforgettable Extraordinary Experience: a private after-hours tour of the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels. (B/L/D)
Day 5
London – Enjoy a private visit to Kensington Palace, once home to Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. Later, indulge in afternoon tea at Rubens at the Palace overlooking the Royal Mews. The evening is free to explore London your way. (B/AT)
Day 6
Paris – Board the high-speed Eurostar to Paris. Upon arrival, take a panoramic tour of the City of Light to see landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe and visit the Eiffel Tower. Enjoy time at leisure before checking in to your hotel. (B)
Day 7
Paris – Visit Notre-Dame Cathedral and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a guided tour of the masterpieces in the Louvre Museum, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Evening at leisure. (B/L)
Day 8
Paris – Spend the morning at the UNESCO listed Palace of Versailles, exploring its opulent architecture and lush gardens. After lunch, return to Paris with time at leisure. This evening, visit Montmartre to see the Sacré-Cœur Basilica before enjoying dinner on your own. (B/L)
Day 9
Paris – A full day at leisure to explore Paris at your own pace. (B)
Day 10
Paris – Join a gourmet food tour along the Champs-Élysées, followed by time to relax. End the trip with a farewell dinner cruise along the Seine filled with glittering views of Paris by night. (B/FT/D)

Extraordinary Explorations vacations are organized and booked by CAA Travel (South Central Ontario) Inc. and CAA Manitoba (“CAA Travel”) on behalf of CAA Club Group (o/a CAA South Central Ontario and CAA Manitoba). In the event of an increase in any of the cost factors, CAA Travel reserves the right to increase the price whereby the provisions of the Travel Industry Act shall prevail. Deposit is non-refundable at the time of booking. Final payment is due 120 days before departure. CAA Extraordinary Explorations packages are 100% non-refundable at final payment. CAA Travel service fee for cancellation prior to final payment varies by program. For full payment terms and conditions, please ask your CAA Travel Consultant. CAA Travel reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements (minimum number of participants) or circumstances beyond its control. Please note: Participants must be able to embark and disembark cruise ships and coaches without assistance as well as have a good level of mobility for walking tours in destinations where stairs and traditional cobblestone streets can be challenging. International transportation vehicles and facilities may not meet accessibility standards.

Arrive in London and meet your local guide before heading off to a panoramic tour of the city’s most famous sights, including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower Bridge and Trafalgar Square. Enjoy a welcome lunch at a local restaurant, then check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore nearby. (L)
Day 3
London
Start the day in Westminster, admiring the Houses of Parliament and views from the London Eye. Stop for photos at Westminster Abbey before walking to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard. Please note: Buckingham Palace is not open for interior visits during this period, but its impressive exterior remains a must-see. Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. (B/D)

London
Travel to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world and an official residence of His Majesty the King. Explore its State Apartments and St George’s Chapel to soak up royal history before heading to lunch at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel for some leisure time. In the evening, enjoy a group dinner before embarking on your Extraordinary Experience: an exclusive after-hours visit to the Tower of London. Guided by a Yeoman Warder, you’ll enjoy a private viewing of the Crown Jewels as the Tower glows at dusk. (B/L/D)

London
Today you’ll enjoy a private tour of Kensington Palace, once home to Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. Explore the opulent State Apartments and captivating exhibitions, then enjoy a stroll through Kensington Palace Gardens. After some free time, gather for a quintessentially British afternoon tea at Rubens at the Palace, overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace. The evening is yours to enjoy as you wish. (B/AT)

Paris
After breakfast, transfer to St Pancras Station and board the Eurostar to Paris. Arrive in the “City of Light” and enjoy a panoramic tour featuring iconic sights such as the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Enjoy lunch at your leisure before an afternoon visit to the world-famous Eiffel Tower, with time to explore. Later, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps wandering along the Seine or relaxing at a local café. (B)

Paris
Begin with a visit to the legendary Notre-Dame Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Next, enjoy a group lunch at a local restaurant before continuing on to the Louvre Museum for a guided tour of its masterpieces, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. The evening is yours to savour dinner or shop at your leisure. (B/L)

Paris
This morning begins with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its opulent architecture, glittering Hall of Mirrors and sprawling gardens. Take a midday break to enjoy a group lunch of classic French cuisine. In the evening, discover the artistic soul of Paris with a guided tour of Montmartre. Stroll its cobblestone streets and take in views from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Enjoy free time and dinner on your own in Monmartre before returning to your hotel. (B/L)

Paris
Enjoy a full day at leisure in the City of Light, with time to immerse yourself in Paris’s unique rhythm, whether you choose to shop, visit museums or simply relax at a sidewalk café. (B)
Day 10
Paris
Today is about savouring the best of Paris with a guided food tour along the Champs-Élysées. Sample gourmet treats, discover local favourites and learn what defines French cuisine. Return to your hotel for some leisure time before gathering this evening for a farewell dinner cruise on the Seine. (B/FT/D)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
