Escape from it all and embrace serenity on this 15-day getaway in the Mediterranean. Start in historic Athens, where you’ll step back in time and tour awe-inspiring ancient sites, including the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first-ever modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. Enjoy an evening of lively and traditional Greek dancing at a local taverna. Later, visit quaint villages while stopping to see historic monasteries, ancient art and the monument dedicated to the legendary 300 Spartans. Activity Level: Moderate. Step back in time through ancient Athens before escaping to the turquoise waters of the Aegean sea for a serene cruise around Greece and Turkey.

Day 2
Athens − Arrive in Athens and meet your guide, then check into your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner in the city. (D)
Day 3
Athens − Embark on a tour of Athens, seeing the Acropolis, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheum and the Parthenon. Then, enjoy a scenic drive through the city, seeing Parliament, the Panathenaic Stadium and the Acropolis Museum. Watch a traditional Greek dance performance before taking a dance lesson. Enjoy dinner in the Plaka. (B/D)
Day 4
Kalambaka − Tour Delphi, the sanctuary of Apollo and home of the priestess Pythia on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. You’ll see ruins, artifacts and ancient artwork. Continue to the village of Arachova, then leave for the village of Kalambaka. (B)
Day 5
Athens − Visit two of the Monasteries of Meteora then return to Athens, stopping on the way at Thermopylae. (B/D)

Athens − Head to the Port of Piraeus to embark on a 9-night Eastern Mediterranean Cruise aboard the Celebrity Infinity®. (B)

Day 1
Depart Toronto or Winnipeg on your overnight flight to Athens.
Day 2
Athens
Upon arrival in Athens, you’ll be welcomed by your English-speaking guide. Depart for your hotel, located in the centre of the city. Tonight, meet with your guide and enjoy your first taste of Athens with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at your hotel. (D)
Day 3
Athens
After breakfast, depart for a guided tour of Athens and experience both the modern and ancient aspects of this iconic city. Visit the Acropolis and see its magnificent entryway, the Propylae. You’ll also see the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheum with the graceful Caryatids and the Parthenon. Continue on a scenic drive through the city, passing Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where the presidential guard, or evzones, stand sentinel. See the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. Your final stop is at the Acropolis Museum, which houses ancient friezes and statues. Return to your hotel, then meet with your guide and depart for your Extraordinary Experience: A traditional Greek dance show and lesson at Dora Stratou. After that, head to Plaka for dinner with Greek music and dancing at a traditional taverna. (B/D)
Day 4
Kalambaka
After breakfast, check out of the hotel, meet your guide and depart for your tour of Delphi, the sanctuary of the ancient god Apollo and home of the mythical priestess Pythia. The site is set in a beautiful natural setting on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus. You’ll see the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo, the theatre and stadium. At the museum, you’ll see artifacts like the bronze statue of the Charioteer of Delphi, a unique example of classical ancient Greek art. Continue to the traditional village of Arachova, and enjoy some time on your own to explore. Later, drive to the village of Kalambaka, travelling through the villages and towns of central Greece. (B)

Athens
After breakfast, depart with your guide to visit two of the Monasteries of Meteora. Perched on granite cliffs, these monasteries filled with Byzantine-era icons and artifacts seem to be suspended between earth and sky. After your visit, depart for Athens, stopping at Thermopylae, the monument of King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans. Arrive in Athens and check in to your hotel before meeting with your guide and departing for dinner. (B/D)
