Grottaglie Artisanal Tour and Ceramics Workshop
Step into the heart of Puglia’s ceramic tradition with a visit to Grottaglie, a town lined with workshops where generations of artisans have shaped, painted and fired exquisite ceramics since the 16th century. Start with a short tour in one of the most historic shops in the city while enjoying a glass of prosecco and watching the artisans working. After you learn some of their techniques, you’ll get the chance to put them into practice. Guided by skilled craftsmen, you’ll get hands-on with the clay, shaping your own creation and connecting with a centuries-old tradition that defines this charming Italian village.

Day 1
Depart Toronto or Winnipeg on your overnight flight to Bari.
Day 2
Ostuni– Arrive at Bari airport, meet your local tour manager and transfer to your hotel in Ostuni. Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening. (D)
Day 3
Ostuni – Explore Locorotondo, a small village famous for its wine production. Stroll its picturesque streets and stop to enjoy a wine tasting in a local cellar. Continue to Alberobello, home to the iconic trulli whitewashed houses with their distinctive conical roofs. End the day in Martina Franca with a visit to a traditional olive oil factory. (B/T/D)

Ostuni – Enjoy a day at leisure to relax and discover the charms of Ostuni. Explore the historic town centre and enjoy a coffee or a refreshing gelato while admiring the panoramic views. Gather for dinner with your fellow travellers. (B/D)
Day 5
Ostuni – Today you’ll tour Lecce, known as “the Florence of Southern Italy” thanks to its stunning Baroque architecture. Admire the city’s ornate buildings and historic churches during your half-day guided tour of the city. Afterward, enjoy lunch at leisure with time to browse local shops before returning to your hotel. (B/D)

Ostuni – Day at leisure to rest, explore or shop at your own pace. (B/D)
Day 7
Ostuni – Travel to Bari for a guided visit to the Basilica of St. Nicholas, the Cathedral of San Sabino and the impressive Swabian Castle. In the afternoon, continue to Trani to admire its striking blend of architectural styles that reflect centuries of history and multiple civilizations. (B/D)
Day 8
Ostuni – Explore Taranto, known as “the city of two seas”, and visit its famous archaeological museum. In the afternoon, continue to Grottaglie for your Extraordinary Experience. Here, you’ll tour a historic ceramics shop, enjoy a glass of prosecco and watch ceramic artisans at work before creating your own masterpiece. (B/D)
Day 9
Ostuni – Enjoy a leisurely final day in Puglia to complete any last-minute sightseeing or souvenir shopping. Meet with your group for a farewell dinner this evening. (B/D)
Day 10
Transfer to the Bari airport for your return flight to Toronto or Winnipeg. (B)
