Eight days in Paris offers time to experience both its iconic sights and its quieter pleasures. A panoramic city tour sets the stage, followed by open days to explore at an easy pace, whether that means discovering museums, wandering historic streets or enjoying time in a local café. A guided visit to Versailles reveals the grandeur of France’s royal past, while a macaron-making class offers a hands-on taste of Parisian tradition. At the Louvre, centuries of art and history come into focus, adding depth to your time in the city. The experience culminates with a dinner cruise along the Seine, where illuminated landmarks line the riverbanks. Relaxed yet rich in highlights, this journey brings together the many sides of Paris.

Crafting Classic French Macarons
Learn the secrets to making one of France’s most iconic treats during a hands-on macaron-making workshop. Guided by a professional pastry instructor, you’ll be taken through each step, from mixing the batter and mastering the piping technique to baking the delicate shells and assembling your own colourful creations. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the traditions of French pâtisserie in a relaxed, welcoming setting. By the end of the class, you’ll have macarons to enjoy and the know-how to recreate them at home.

Iconic sights, royal history and local flavours come together over 8 days in Paris, with Versailles, the Louvre, a macaron class and a Seine cruise.
Day 1
Depart on your overnight flight from Toronto or Winnipeg to Paris.
Day 2
Paris – Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and transfer by private coach to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to relax or explore nearby. This evening, meet your group for a welcome dinner, followed by free time. (D)
Day 3
Paris – Begin with a panoramic tour of the most iconic sights in Paris. Take in landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées, Place de la Concorde, Île de la Cité with the rebuilt Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Hôtel des Invalides and the bridges spanning the Seine. Commentary brings the city’s history and character to life. Lunch at a local restaurant, with the remainder of the day at leisure. (B/L)
Day 4
Paris – Enjoy a full day at leisure to experience Paris your way, from neighbourhood strolls and museums to cafés, boutiques and historic streets. (B)
Day 5
Paris – After breakfast, travel to the Palace of Versailles for a guided visit. Explore the richly decorated rooms and the Hall of Mirrors overlooking the expansive gardens designed by André Le Nôtre, with their statues, fountains and reflective pools. After lunch, return to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B/L)
Day 6
Paris – Start the day with a hands-on macaron-making class, learning the techniques behind these iconic French treats. Afterwards, enjoy time for lunch on your own before a guided visit to the Louvre Museum, home to a world-class collection spanning centuries. Return to the hotel with the remainder of the day and dinner at leisure. (B)
Day 7
Paris – After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Paris, whether browsing the Champs-Élysées, wandering Saint-Germain-des-Prés, visiting the Musée d’Orsay or relaxing along the Seine. This evening, gather for a dinner cruise on the Seine with live music and a multi-course meal as you sail through the heart of the city. (B/D)
Day 8
After breakfast, enjoy some final moments in Paris before your transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)

Extraordinary Explorations vacations are organized and booked by CAA Travel (South Central Ontario) Inc. and CAA Manitoba (“CAA Travel”) on behalf of CAA Club Group (o/a CAA South Central Ontario and CAA Manitoba). In the event of an increase in any of the cost factors, CAA Travel reserves the right to increase the price whereby the provisions of the Travel Industry Act shall prevail. Deposit is non-refundable at the time of booking. Final payment is due 120 days before departure. CAA Extraordinary Explorations packages are 100% non-refundable at final payment. CAA Travel reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements (minimum number of participants) or circumstances beyond its control. Please note: Participants must be able to embark and disembark cruise ships and coaches without assistance as well as have a good level of mobility for walking tours in destinations where stairs and traditional cobblestone streets can be challenging. International transportation vehicles and facilities may not meet accessibility standards.

Your adventure in the City of Light begins with a panoramic tour of its most iconic sights. As you travel through the French capital, you’ll pass celebrated landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs‑Élysées, the Place de la Concorde, the historic Île de la Cité with the rebuilt Notre-Dame Cathedral, the stately Hôtel des Invalides and the graceful bridges that span the Seine. With engaging commentary throughout, this overview provides a wonderful sense of the city’s history, architecture and charm. Following the tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B/L)

Today is a full day to enjoy Paris in whatever way appeals most to you. You may wish to stroll through a nearby neighbourhood, visit one of the city’s world‑renowned museums, relax in a charming café, or explore the boutiques and historic streets that make Paris so captivating. With no scheduled activities, you’re free to shape the day to your own interests and comfort. (B)

Paris
After breakfast, travel to the Palace of Versailles for a guided visit of one of France’s most iconic landmarks. Explore a series of beautifully decorated rooms inspired by classical mythology, followed by the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors, once the setting for royal celebrations and overlooking the expansive palace gardens. Wander through the gardens, designed by André Le Nôtre and renowned for their grand layout of statues, fountains, flowerbeds and reflective pools. After the visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B/L)

Paris
Begin the day with your Extraordinary Experience, a hands‑on macaron‑making class, where you’ll learn the techniques behind creating these iconic French treats—from mixing and piping to baking and assembling the delicate shells. Afterwards, there will be time to find a café for lunch on your own before continuing to the Louvre Museum for a guided visit. As one of the world’s most celebrated art institutions, the Louvre showcases a world-class collection spanning centuries of artistic achievement, offering a rich insight into both French culture and European art history. Following the tour, return to the hotel where the remainder of the day and dinner is at leisure. (B)

Paris
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a free day to make the most of your final full day in Paris. You can browse the elegant boutiques along the Champs‑Élysées, wander through the charming streets of Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés or spend a quiet moment in the Luxembourg Gardens. Art lovers can discover masterpieces at the Musée d’Orsay, while others can take a leisurely Seine‑side stroll or a stop at a classic Parisian café. Later in the day, gather with your group for a memorable evening dinner cruise on the Seine, featuring live musical entertainment and a beautifully prepared multi‑course meal served while sailing through the heart of Paris. After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some final moments in Paris before your transfer to the airport before your return flight home. (B)
