San Gimignano Winery Visit and Cooking Class
Step into the soulful heart of Tuscany at a distinguished wine estate tucked among rolling hills. Begin with a guided tour through time-worn vineyards, where every vine tells a story of tradition and care passed down through generations. Then, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class led by a local chef. Using fresh, regional ingredients, you’ll learn to prepare classic Tuscan dishes in a hands-on kitchen setting. Afterwards, gather to enjoy the fruits of your labour, perfectly paired with the estate’s wines, for a warm and flavourful taste of Tuscan life.

Tuscan Coast Extended Stay

Day 1
Depart on your overnight flight to Florence.
Day 2
Viareggio – Arrive in Florence and meet your local guide for a scenic transfer to your seaside hotel in Viareggio. The rest of the day is free to unwind and take in your first views of Tuscany.
Day 3
Viareggio – Spend a relaxing day at leisure enjoying the nearby private beach club (included), exploring local cafés and shops or simply unwinding. In the evening, reconnect with your group over a Tuscan welcome dinner. (B/D)
Day 4
Pisa & Lucca – Travel to Pisa for views of the Leaning Tower, Baptistry and Camposanto Monumentale. Then visit a nearby fattoria (farm) for a traditional Tuscan lunch with an extra virgin olive oil tasting. In the afternoon, stroll the charming streets of Lucca with a local guide. (B/L/T)
Day 5
Florence – Discover Florence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its art and architecture. Admire the city’s Renaissance beauty on a walking tour through its historic core. See Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and more. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to shop, visit artisan markets or simply wander the city centre. (B)
Day 6
San Gimignano & Volterra – Visit San Gimignano’s medieval towers, then tour a vineyard and take part in a hands-on cooking class including lunch and paired local wines. On the way back, stop in the hilltop town of Volterra, known for its ancient roots and alabaster art. (B/L)
Day 7 - 20
Viareggio – Ease into your extended seaside stay. Lounge at the beach, stroll the promenade,
savour leisurely meals and live la dolce vita at your own pace. (B)
Day 21
Viareggio – Enjoy a final day of relaxation, capped off with a special farewell dinner at a seaside restaurant. (B/D)
Day 22
Viareggio – Spend your last full day in Italy however you choose. (B)
Day 23
Transfer to the airport for your journey home. (B)

Pisa & Lucca

Then, head to a traditional fattoria (farm) near Pisa for a Tuscan lunch paired with an extra virgin olive oil tasting. Later, explore the elegant town of Lucca on a guided walking tour before returning to Viareggio. (B/L/T)
Day 5
Florence
Discover Florence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its art and architecture. Stroll through the city on a guided walking tour starting at lively Piazza della Repubblica, continuing to the Loggia del Porcellino and Piazza della Signoria. Visit Chiesa di Orsanmichele and follow Via Calzaiuoli to the magnificent Piazza del Duomo. See Palazzo Medici Riccardi, once home to the influential Medici family. In the afternoon, explore the city centre at your own pace to shop for leather goods, browse artisan boutiques or visit Mercato Centrale. (B)
Day 6
San Gimignano & Volterra
Today, visit the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, famous for its many ancient towers. At a nearby winery, tour the vineyards, take part in a hands-on cooking class including lunch and paired local wines. On your return to Viareggio, stop in the historic town of Volterra. Perched between the Era and Cecina valleys, this atmospheric village boasts Etruscan and medieval walls, centuries-old architecture and a legacy of alabaster craftsmanship. (B/L)
Day 7–20
Viareggio
Settle into the rhythm of coastal life with nearly two weeks of leisure time in Viareggio. Soak up the sun at nearby beaches, stroll the scenic promenade, savour leisurely meals and live la dolce vita at your own pace. (B)
Day 21
Viareggio
Enjoy a final day of relaxation, capped off with a special farewell dinner at a seaside restaurant. Savour a local fish menu with wine as you toast to your unforgettable Italian adventure. (B/D)
Day 22
Viareggio
Spend your last full day in Italy however you choose, whether it’s at the beach, exploring town or simply soaking up the views. (B)
