Western Canada and Alaska’s most memorable landscapes await you on this 13-day journey from mountains to coastline and beyond. Begin in Banff with time to explore, and a gondola ride to sweeping summit views paired with a memorable dinner high above the world. The, travel west aboard the Rocky Mountaineer where glass-domed coaches reveal glacier-carved valleys, winding passes and historic rail routes on your way to Kamloops and Vancouver. After time at leisure in the city, continue by sea aboard the Koningsdam, sailing through Alaska’s stunningly beautiful Inside Passage. Watch for glaciers, coastal towns and dramatic shoreline scenery as each day brings a new perspective on this remarkable region.

Day 1
Banff – Depart from Toronto or Winnipeg for your journey to Banff. Upon arrival at Calgary International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to Banff, taking in a scenic sightseeing tour as you enter the heart of the Rockies. This evening, ascend Sulphur Mountain aboard the Banff Gondola for breathtaking 360‑degree views across six surrounding mountain ranges. Your day ends with a mountaintop dinner at Sky Bistro, where refined cuisine is paired with remarkable views. (D)
Day 2
Banff – Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the town of Banff, set within Canada’s first national park. Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the area is known for its mountain peaks, turquoise lakes and wildlife, with plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor exploration. (B)
Day 3
Kamloops – Depart early and board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for your journey from Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s Interior. Breakfast and lunch are served onboard. As the train travels west, take in changing scenery. Highlights include the Continental Divide, Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie. Arrive in Kamloops this evening for your overnight stay. (B/L)
Day 4
Vancouver – Continue aboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you travel west toward Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch served onboard. Highlights include the Thompson River and Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey concludes upon arrival in Vancouver this evening. Overnight in Vancouver. (B/L)

Extraordinary Explorations vacations are organized and booked by CAA Travel (South Central Ontario) Inc. and CAA Manitoba (“CAA Travel”) on behalf of CAA Club Group (o/a CAA South Central Ontario and CAA Manitoba). Please note: Participants must be able to embark and disembark cruise ships and coaches without assistance as well as have a good level of mobility for walking tours in destinations where stairs and traditional cobblestone streets can be challenging. International transportation vehicles and facilities may not meet accessibility standards.

Day 3
Kamloops
Depart early this morning and board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for a memorable journey from Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s Interior. Breakfast and lunch are onboard the train. As the train travels west, take in ever-changing scenery such as glacier-carved valleys, snow-capped peaks, winding mountain passes and expansive ranch lands. You’ll see the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the final spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Arrive in Kamloops this evening and settle in for your overnight stay. (B/L)

Continue your journey aboard the Rocky Mountaineer this morning as you travel west toward the Pacific Coast and the city of Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch are onboard the train. Highlights include the cliffs and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the powerful waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey concludes upon arrival in Vancouver this evening. Overnight in Vancouver. (B/L)
