Scenic covered wagon ride and BBQ cookout
Experience the magic of the Canadian Rockies with a covered-wagon ride along the Bow River, surrounded by breathtaking views of rugged peaks and pristine wilderness. Sturdy horses will bring you and your fellow guests to the charming 3 Mile Cabin, where a true Western adventure awaits. Try your hand at lassoing or a friendly game of horseshoes before savouring a hearty barbecue cookout on the stunning Sundance Canyon Trail. Activity Level: Moderate. Enjoy an epic adventure with this 14-day tour, including a Rockies train journey, a 7-night Alaska cruise and incredible views throughout.
Day 1
Banff – Depart from Toronto or Winnipeg to Calgary. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to Banff. Check in to your hotel, then enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore or unwind.
Day 2
Banff – Begin your day with a guided tour of Banff and its stunning surroundings. Learn how this area became Canada’s first national park in 1885, established to protect its natural hot springs. Visit landmarks like the historic Banff Springs Hotel, Tunnel Mountain, Bow Falls and the striking Hoodoos rock formations. Later, enjoy a scenic covered-wagon ride along the Bow River to 3 Mile Cabin, where you’ll enjoy a barbecue cookout by the picturesque Sundance Canyon Trail. After dinner, return to Banff. (B/D)
Day 3
Banff – Travel along the scenic Bow Valley Parkway, stopping to explore Johnston Canyon and the breathtaking Moraine Lake. Continue to Lake Louise, known for its brilliant blue-green waters set against the dramatic Victoria Glacier—a true Canadian Rockies icon and one of the most photographed spots in the region. After lunch, venture to the Columbia Icefields for the unforgettable Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure. (B/L)
Day 4
Kamloops – Depart early aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for your train journey from Banff to Kamloops. Marvel at the scenery as you travel from glacier-clad peaks and mountain passes to rugged lakeshores and rolling ranchlands. Highlights include the Continental Divide, Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Arrive in Kamloops by evening and overnight in the city. (B/L)
Day 5
Vancouver – Continue by train to Vancouver, passing dramatic terrain and lush green landscapes. Highlights include the rugged cliffs of Fraser Canyon, the swirling rapids at Hell’s Gate and the desert-like Thompson River region giving way to coastal mountains. Arrive in Vancouver in the evening and transfer to your hotel for a 2-night stay. (B/L)

Vancouver – Spend your day at leisure in Vancouver. (B)
Day 7
Vancouver – Meet your local guide for a transfer to the cruise terminal. Board the Koningsdam® for your 7-Night Alaska cruise, the next leg of your adventure. (B)
